今日買了, 估唔到陣容咁強勁!

先介紹鍾氏兄弟之一: 鍾一匡Henry Chung, 大家如果有聽過/睇過盧冠廷2050音樂會, 就應該唔會忘記當中介紹的那位口琴家,身入極危險的黑人貧民區就只為了研習最地度的藍調口琴, 當中精彩演出的就是這位Henry Chung,
反而兄弟Roger我先前沒有留意, 但一開聲仍是覺得很熟口面。

大碟是HI-FI級製作, 由美國Sterling Sound母帶製作, 歌者還是發燒女聲 羅敏莊及鄧婉玲, 還有格林美福音歌手提名人Howard McCrary, 演奏的更是世界級樂手: 霍世潔二胡、歐永財Flamenco結他、還有包以正、Ted Lo、Barry Chung、Tommy Ho、Roel A.Garcia等!

風格多彩, 充滿各種音樂元素, 歌曲以輕鬆為主, 容易入耳, 旺角區我只用了$8x買入, 很值得推介!

我開始時都有咁諗過, 但係諗深一層覺得世上有很多音樂的種類, 古典係一種、jass係一種, gospel 都係其中一種,點解覺得隻classic碟正就可以放心推介, 但覺得隻gospel碟正就要擔心人地唔知點諗, 好似要自我審查先呢?

所以都決定在此介紹。我用番喜歡一隻靚聲碟的介紹方法去介紹呢隻碟,又唔係向網友傳裡面的信仰內容, 情況等如介紹黑教堂、麥田之歌一樣(都係教堂詩歌), 我諗成熟的網友應該唔會夾硬要話我地說教掛?

Incidentally, they were both composed by the 2 singer-songwriters whose heyday were back in the 80's. They've got great melodies and feature new artists. Ironically, they are both treated (relatively) coldly by the media.

This shows that the 80's popstars still got it. This also shows the future of HK music industry is....

After a long wait, the 4DVD set has finally released. It's just exciting. It's without dispute the HK music event of the year and do witness the magic yourself.

Not an understatement. I just don't know what to say. All I can say is "Wow."

When Lowell invited me to play "Skybird" with him 2 weeks ago, I was like, "I can't ruin your song. That's your most famous song." Nevertheless, Lowell put his utmost trust in me. He didn't ask me any questions. He didn't tell me how to play it. And when I went to the rehearsals last Sunday, he kindly adjusted to my needs. He even accomodated my request to lower the key from E minor to D minor because I told him it would sound better on the harmonica. We practiced the song in the little room. Just me and Lowell. That was unreal.

Unreal. Because this is a guy I used to idolized when I was a kid. I grew up listening to his songs, admiring his talent, and always looking forward to his next concert. After his 1990 concert (I was 13 at the time), I was looking forward to his next one. We all waited for 18 years. 18 years is a good benchmark to measure one's growth. And it turned out that it was well worth the wait.

When Cat Stevens made his comeback album "Another Cup" a couple years ago, I foresaw the comeback of Lowell. But I never thought I would be standing next to him on the stage of HK Coliseum playing a duo number, "Skybird" no less. The feeling was larger than life. To top that off, I played another number "Knocking on Heaven's Door" on the stage with Joey Tang and So Tak Wah, two of my childhood guitar heroes. How much more can a guy like myself ask for?

The band was amazing. The music was amazing. The audience's reaction was spectacular. They were true music lovers. They were there for the music, and something more.

It was all above love. Lowell himself embraces the phenomenon completely. He's full of love and compassion, and his heart is pure. After spending several days with him talking, joking and rehearsing, I can safely say that he's a truly wonderful person. He believes in music and love. He is still hopeful about humanity.

So at this juncture, I'm still breathless and am still in disbelief. There is much more I want to say (I mean, how incredible is that to have extensive backstage conversations with the likes of Jonathan Lee, George Lam, and Paula Tsui?)...
